  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. I emailed Guy last week, asking about the content of the new editions, and here is a portion of his reply (my questions in italics):

Thanks for your note, and continued interest in my doings. I'm well, thanks, but gettin' older. (I'll be 78 later this month.)

I just saw that the 3rd edition of TMBR V2 is out and was wondering if this is a reprinting...
It is basically the same content as the previous printing of T2.

or if as you had planned four years ago you have added content to bring both V1 & V2 up to the length of V3?
No - content is about the same as before.


I followed up with an additional question about a possible Volume 4, but haven't heard back yet.
