This Southbend came up about an hour from me yesterday morning for 500, contacted them said I would come yesterday afternoon and at 2 o clock they send a message they sold it to someone else, &*%$#@ , I can't stand people like that both of them, $@#$%. It would have been a great project and a different lathe experience but in the end not to be.

All the gears were stripped. At least those that weren't missing altogether. And the bearings were bad. Plus the bed was all worn. Yeah, that's it.

If its like a super deal I just tell them I am on the way.

What would anger me if I was driving there, say 1h away and they sold it like 10min before I arrived there. That would not be cool.

Be thankful, its only a Southbend, with rust issues at a minimum

It is a model c 9 “ Southbend, no power cross feed, it is bottom of the line option wise.
