Goldenrod Oilers on sale at KMS

Oilers arrived. The astute among us, will notice what's wrong with the picture.....

Flex spout missing from one of the 12oz oilers. KMS is aware, and we're working on a resolution. Box was fine, no damage or holes. I'm guessing it simply got loaded in there that way. But we'll see what they say.

Excited to try the anchor lube out though. Never used it before.

I already have a couple lab squirt bottles for rapid tap, and a9, so these are just for machine oils. Thought about getting a yellow plastic one, and a spray nozzle for variety, but stuck with the all steel old faithfuls. Mildy disappointed they shipped black ones though, and not the bronze/copper colours they advertised. Not cheesed enough to complain other than this post though lol. They did straighten out my missing flex hose, it'll be in the mail tomorrow.

KMS Rectified the missing spout situation by sending me a completely new 12oz oiler instead of just a spout which arrived today. They're alright by me, and earned some future business for sure. Now, what to do with that extra can with no spout......

I've shopped KMS for years, and always wished we had one in Ontario. I've never been to an actual store, just online, so I don't know how it compares to similar stores here, but my dealings with them online have always been seamless, with this being the first hiccup. You guys out west have a gem there. I would gladly trade every Peaveymart/TSC in Ontario for even just one KMS. You could put it smack dab in the middle of Toronto and I'd still rather go there, than the two Peaveymarts near me. I know they're not exactly the same, but I never miss an opportunity to rant about how shit peaveymart is :D.

...... So, it's not just me then huh?
Hey Dan, how do you really feel about peaveymart?

It SUCKS. :D Ya know what's funny. I always thought TSC sucked too, they never had ANYthing in stock that was in the flyer, and the revolving door of retail zombies were never interested in helping you, or checking to see if there might be one hiding in the back, or more coming.....But anyway....when I heard of the buyout, and rebranding to Peaveymart a few years ago, I thought, great! This is awesome, a REAL company is taking it over, and will finally run it properly. Ohhhh, But noooooo. It got worse, MUCH worse. I didn't even think it was possible lol.

Most recent story....I needed chicken feed last week, and chose to drive an extra 15 minutes there instead of the local co op because I was also running low on a bunch of hardware of various sizes, and was going to load up a couple bulk bags. Instead the bins were bare. No 1/4" flat washers, no 5/16" bolts, no 3/8" bolts. Bare, almost everything. Damn, walk back to the chicken feed, and there's only 3 bags left. A bunch of the other shelves are bare too....Hmm not good, but at least I got a bag of feed. Walk up to the front, and run into a buddies dad at the cash, also there buying chicken feed, also drove there instead of co op to get other stuff they didn't have...... We started ranting about them not having anything and Long story short, My turn at the cash comes, and the first thing she says, after listening to the pair of us just bitching about wasting a drive there was "did you find everything you were looking for?"......

All I could do was just start laughing as that scene played out in my head. It's not her fault the store is bare, and I'm sure she takes a bunch of shit all day about it. But damn her comedic timing couldn't have been better if she tried. The life of a retail, public service zombie, I remember those days..... Anyway, I just chuckled and said something like, "actually you guys didn't have much of anything I came for today, but at least the chickens wont go hungry", and she sighed and replied "ya, we don't seem to have much anymore" Tough situation, I can't imagine they'll hang on much longer if they don't have product to sell to their core market.

That is actually just my two closest stores, Bowmanville (25 min), and Peterborugh (35 min). They are both equally terrible. The store in Lindsay (45 min) is actually not bad, at least the few times I've been there because either of the other stores not having bottles for bottle exchange, even after you call and they verify that they do.....But then I haven't been there in a while. Maybe they've slid down too.

I have had great luck with kms. The south Edmonton industrial desk was great. We had no issues with returns or exchanges. I got my drill press from them floor model, regular 800, on sale and the display so 400 plus tax. I just ordered a couple of the goldenrods, the powder coat kit and some colours. I used some of my gift cards. So easy online ordering.
