Although we had workhorses on the farm when I was a boy, I never plowed with them. I did ride them bareback and I did use them to pull the caboose to school.

I found those big horses to be a lot smarter than some of the computer controlled hardware I use today.

Mules are intelligent too, like horses. But they are stubborn and strong willed, and want things done exactly their way.
