  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. I know several of us have similar PF drives. Blondihacks did a disassembly, so might be a resource one day. I'm not very electrically proficient but some interesting discussion on the board components & design in the comments section. Now I'm also curious if an Align brand is any different.

 
Interesting, most of that was actually above my head and I only grasp the most basic of the explanation, but it was interesting and helpful in understanding my p.f. and also why it was so cheap.
 
The breadth and depth of Quinn's knowledge is pretty damn impressive. One glance at a circuit board and recognizes it as 70's vintage and understands exactly how it works. What did she call it...a 'neon light' trick?
