The Modern 6323 9x49 lists ~13.9K CAD (with DRO & power feeds) fob Calgary. The head is Taiwan, the remainder is China.

I think this First mill is a more robust machine than the one from PM or Modern. It has box ways, 40 taper and built in power feeds so the price may not be too far off if it's really minty.

I agree. My First mill weighs 3800 lbs, I believe the 40 taper version comes in at 200 lbs more.. The PM version and the new Modern Tool ones come in at about 2300 lbs. In this case, the castings and ways of the First are far more rigid... The Mit DRO is north of 3K new, around 1500 used.

So I would say *not* a super deal, but a reasonable price for a good machine.
