¡Los primeros chips que hice hoy con esta máquina! Han pasado casi 4 meses desde que la traje a casa y comencé a trabajar en ella. Todavía necesitas algunos ajustes. Estoy pensando en cambiar el motor. El que tiene fue diseñado para usarse con un compresor y está abierto. Es muy ruidoso y hace todo tipo de ruidos. Preferiría un motor cerrado más silencioso, tal vez trifásico con un variador de frecuencia

Justo cuando pensaba que me estaba acercando a la meta con mi proyecto, descubrí una fuga de aceite que parece provenir de la QCGB. ¡Un momento no tan rápido! Me enfrento a una de dos opciones: soportar una fuga de aceite o desarmar mi QCGB nuevamente para intentar sellarlo. Me inclino por desarmarla nuevamente e intentar sellarlo con un poco de Permatex Ultra Black. ¿Qué harían ustedes?

Hola soy Rick, tengo un torno igual al tuyo, pero no tengo la mesa de rosca milimétrica. No sé si me podrías hacer el favor de enviarme una foto de la mesa de rosca milimétrica de tu torno.

Dumb question. Do you have to use oil or wax or...... some other kinda magic goooo to keep a forming tap going?

My memory is getting hazy regarding the paint used as this was some time ago. If I recall correctly it was a farm implement paint I got from Peavy Mart. I think they don't even sell it any more. In fact when I bought the paint I think it was before the store chain changed their name and ownership to Peavy Mart.

One thing I do remember about it is that it was painted in my poly house which got very hot on sunny summer days. The paint finish seemed to take on a harder tougher than normal finish seemingly because it was almost baked. The result was in part accidental.
