  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

ER40 collet chuck on Amazon

This arrived a few days ago, the price is good and so is the quality, all the collets fit nicely.
However, they send the wrong wrench so you have to grind about a 1/4" off of it the make it usable.
Not a big deal, but the guy boxing it up must be able to see that it doesn't fit.

I had to do the same thing to the spanner that came with my ER32 SpinIndexer a few years ago.

You actually think the person putting stuff in a box knows what they are looking at? You're a funny guy!

Love the open headstock mod, No oil needed, Extra cooling, When you really want to push your RPMS to the max!
Oh, nice looking er40 chucky chuck :D

Seems OK price - nothing special - would have purchased one if I did not make one already like 2 or 3 years ago.

If you're like most of us you'll really enjoy the collet chuck. Mine is on the lathe 80% of the time.

As to the wrench, I bought my chuck from Precision Matthews and it also came with the 55-62 size wrench. I didn't like it either so I made a new one and a larger one to hold the chuck when tightening.
