Electrical help.

Not sure that's a good idea, I'm guessing those bolts need to make contact with those traces, looks like they are the current path to the contacts.

I'm trying to make sense of the xx310 image. It looks like they are using a wire, possibly soldered to a trace below it for added current capability, but it's not obvious what it connects to near the screws?

What resistance do you measure access those two screws?
I'm not sure yet, haven't had my waffles yet, but I think that there is stuff connected to the underside of the contacts block but I think the screws are just a mechanical connection. Should know in an hour or so.

Woo hoo !
The waffles were great !
So before starting any cleaning I measured 10M ohms between the two screws which really doesn't mean anything to me, I'm more of a " it beeps" or "it doesn't beep" sort of ohm guy. I pulled the screws out and there is some hidden connections under the block so left well enough alone. A little isopropyl alcohol and some q tips and there was quite a deep trench between the screws. Some filing, sanding and picking, a judicious glob of goo and put it all back together. Success, I now have high frequency start again. This is great as the next stage of sweeties new hubby hobby is going to need a fair bit of TIG.
Thank you all for your input, I find it really helpful to have direction and or confirmation of thought processes in things like this. Times like this allow me to think that the interweb is not always a dark evil place.
Cheers.
