  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

We are having a good snowfall this year and I am glad to see it. Friday I fired up the front end loader and cleared out the driveway, and I'm hoping for another 6 inches before it all ends. They say we have enough in the Rocky's now so fire will be much less of an issue this year, but my back pond needs to fill up.

We in BC are at 72% snowpack. But some regions are in the 30% range. Since we are hydro electric, we could be in a shortage this summer. That also bodes bad for camping with a forest fire threats.

Beautiful pictures!

We had a pretty good dump in Ottawa, so we escaped to somewhere with less no snow and lows of 23C. We shall return when when it's safe;-)

Beautiful! It's quite a wide dynamic range captured in those photos. What camera did you use?
Back in the day I used to take all sorts of night shots and winter landscapes. It's very difficult to get such a wide dynamic range using film, today's new digital sensors make it seem so easy even in low light.

The deck table hasn't been disturbed since the fall, total accumulation as of this morning, 29.5" and another 4" fell today.
