  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

I purchased a DRO off ebay and the manual was pretty much worthless. The translation from Chinese to English was hilarious. This seems to be a common problem . As well the manual seemed to be for an older software version than what I had. Sent a few emails to the seller and he was very good at replying to me and sent a new manual that is actually pretty good. I had watched several youtube videos on DRO operation and those were very little help. The best I could do is pick up one or two tips from each video. Anyhow, the DRO is a JCS900-3AE and if there is any interest from other members I could share what I received. The manual is a pdf file I got by email. I am not sure how to share it but if someone needs a copy we could work it out. I have not read the entire manual yet but it is the best I have come across.
