  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

DavidR8's shop shenanigans

I like Amsterdam, interesting city. Many of the houses come complete with a 2nd floor pulley arrangement handy for lifting heavy equipment to the 2nd floor;-)

Van Gogh museum is worth a visit if you fancy his art. The district that might appeal to another vice is interesting to visit not sure I would venture inside any of those inviting doors though;-)

At the price or that I picked up a new project?

Both.

But also beginning to realize how futile sabotage seems to be. You are increasing your output exponentially while we are using linear methods to slow you down. It isn't working. So I'm considering other methods now. Giving serious consideration to getting the municipality to designate your area as a recreation only park - no work allowed.

I think I'm trying to meet the standard set by my light industrial zoning :D

Picked up a new project today.
2002 VW Golf. Needs a new clutch and suspension. And interior. But the body is completely free of rust and damage and the $650 price was right.

Good lord man you find the deals. I'd LOVE a rabbit/golf with no rust.
Im in the process of acquiring a 2007 VW Rabbit but of course it has rust. In college and university I drove an old 79 VW Diesel Rabbit and man I loved that car. Dead simple, zero frills, economical and reliable as could be.

I've decided that David isn't a human at all. Just an advanced AI version of what a really annoyingly ambitious forum member would be like if they were constantly trying to outdo all the other members while still being immensely likeable and a supremely capable moderator.

It's no creampuff. The clutch is totally shot and it needs suspensionon on all four corners. The body is completely solid but the interior really needs help. New headliner is needed. Plus a thorough delousing!
