CA-ON Cutting oil for twist drills

Ontario
Type
Supplies
Lenox BAND-AID band saw cutting fluid for everything. No smoke, no smell, doesn't go rancid. 10:1 ratio makes a good general-purpose coolant with no fuss or mess. SWMBO doesn't complain about the smell like when I used to use the Princess Auto soluble oil or Ridgid Nu-Clear.

I keep empty glass maple syrup bottles and graft the pump sprayers from household cleaners onto the syrup bottles for cheap-n-nasty pump sprayers. Perfect size for my little hands and the glass bottles don't harden and crack like cheap plastic spray bottles. One or two sprayers near each machine tool.

I always thought the water soluble oils needed to be in a constant flood or even a constant spray like a cool mister. Does it work just to give a spray now and then like you would wipe on a cutting oil? I assumed that because it wasn't as thick it wouldn't stay on the part and lubricate/cool and there for needed to be in a constant flow. I am just about out of cutting fluid so I may have to look into this.
