Ct039 lathe Edmonton, 200$!

Still mysteriously not sold. Multiple people seeing it? What are they looking for? Maybe its just a carcass of a lathe not an actual working machine. Or there is no machine.
Please people, there is no need for idle speculation. The seller is very responsive to inquiries.

The seller is at work and unable to show it to 3 other buyers lined up to view the lathe later this evening. I am in the spot of 4th refusal. I will not turn it down if it comes to me.

The seller acquired the lathe in Calgary and subsequently moved to Edmonton. The seller is now moving north to a rental for 6 months and given past move his wife does not wish to go thru this process again. The lathe is not damaged. It looks odd in the photo because the movers failed to put one of the feet on after the move and the seller hasn't been able to get the foot installed yet.

The seller like myself prefers not to delete kijiji ads until the goods are out the door. If the ad is still up tomorrow then I'd say speculation may be warranted

cheap cell phone camera lenses tend to add optical distortion.

this looks on par with this style of lathe.

as for too small, well yeah 12" would be better, but at the price it would have worked for me in my small space available.

I too got an ultimatum from wife, she wants to be able to do her laundry and get to her freezer and such

My wife drew a chalk line across the laundry room floor and one of these on her side.

I would too... I'd fabricate a bed out of structural steel to put the head stock on and convert it to a big bowl turning lathe.
I'll third that

For the right price a lathe with a foot of bed could still be useable...bonus if you could still slap the tailstock on

Lol, no, I have all kinds of crazy ideas and not enough lifetime to build them all

Me too! Lord only knows what that might become....... Spare parts was not one of them. But for $200, there would be something really really cool hidden inside it. Maybe a fancy grinder, or a fancy wood lathe, or a spinner, or or or or..... It would certainly be awesome whatever it became!
