  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. If all works that is a very good price. I.e. "excellent used condition" === excellent price for the buyer.

I used to own this lathe like 5 years ago. Its a bit under powered but otherwise a solid performer.
 
This is what mill looked like new, LOL. Not anymore! Flood cooling, column riser, 3phase motor with VFD, Acorn/Clearpath CNC upgrade.

They are not bad little machines. Two weak links, terminal block in motor and on/off starter box is cheap plastic

BTW the original price new was about $2300.00 now the equivalent King is over $7000.00. At that price its a steel.
 
At 2650 that little knee mill would not last in AB.

That lathe is selling for less than I sold same model few years back in AB.

But its in ON. Different region, different prices. I mean one member got a chipmaster for just 750 (!!!) not long ago. Chipmaster is much better lathe than 089 (I own chipmaster and owned 089).
