  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

Couple milling machines

My shop has a couple of milling machines for sale, they are a little on the large size or I would have bought one myself. Shop is located in Saint John, NB

The first is a knee and column machine made in Denmark, works well and comes with some cutters. $500

The second Is a Kearney and Trecker, with rotary head, DRO and newly installed gears for the spindle feed. This is a heavy piece of gear, everything is cast iron. $2500.

It took a lot of restraint not to bring home the little knee and column machine, It works well and there is a cabinet full of cutters and a another arbor support to go with it. I just don't have the room. There was a vertical head for it but I think it was mistakenly thrown in the scrap bin.

Arbor == 100 CAD. Head for it - at least $500. Cutters, say few dozen == 300. Machine probably well over $1000. Just go on eBay - especially the vertical heads are very, very expensive.
