Had to put my readers on. Thought there was an extra zero? No wait, there is! Alberta advantage?

I normally don’t comment on price unless it is so far out there in optimistic land like most of this seller’s listings. Does this strategy work for a seller?

On edit- added second paragraph.

It might be worth favoriting this offer just to follow his price changes.

In this day and age of CNC, I can't see that being worth more than a few hundred. It's not that hard to set compound angles without that. I don't do it very often but it isn't hard to do when I do.

Interesting. I’ve got a fair amount of surface grinding time, but none on a CNC. Having a hard time visualizing compound angles being ground w CNC without a compound sine table. Pics? Explanation?

Edited for better grammar. (Should have paid attention in Junior High)

@Susquatch these cannot be used for milling.

I have the 6x6 dual axis sin vise with magnetic chuck from Suburban Tool (Sin set series). I bought it from a guy that purchased an entire shop, and was asking a 'cannot turn down' price. (MSPC-66-FP-S1) Not something I could ever afford buying it new, that's for sure!

frankly, it is a buyers market. 300$ is a maximum price I'd pay for one.

The dual feature is seldom used. Calculatiing compound angles is a PAIN in the you-know-where.

Going by the prices in the rest of his ads, which are crazy, no. Everything else he's selling is pie in the sky as well

Agreed the price is nuts, but his is the compound version so doesn't compare so well to the regular format prices.

I've got a compound sine plate. After I think 20 years its only task has been holding a shelf down. I can't remember ever using it. (came with some other stuff, and there it sits). What I do use the magnetic sine chuck ..... that imo is worth grabbing if one comes up for small dollars

Ive only ever had to use one once. It was used to grind a cutting tool used for re-facing a radiused surface on a machine used to fuel reators. Had to math the hell out of it. Turned out great though.
I'm currently trying to find a sine plate for my home shop. Tough to come by. Lots of compound plates, but tough to find those standard ones of reasonable sizes.
