  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

@jorogi
Okay then….. lol
Some pics of me moving it into the shop this past fall.
You win Sir, congratulations.
You probably knew that last fall though :D
So is it up and running ? Any issues ? And if that's a back splash in the background of the first pic would be possible to get some pics of it, I'll be needing to make one for mine at some point.

@jorogi
I can’t remember if I posted last fall. Yes I took the splash guard off, one of my jobs this winter was to clean the rust and crap off and reinstall it. The lathe is working well making chips. The original motor was a two speed 3 phase and the previous owner had converted to single phase 1725. So I would like to put a 3 phase back on and VFD for it at some point this year and get a little more top and end. I have done lots it, still a list to go,
But yes I can sketch up the chip deflector, no problem for you.

Cheers Mark I'd appreciate that, no rush as mine is a project. Stayed tuned for that thread, a few years away I'm sure as I have a wife, I think most of you will understand.
