There has been a lot of back and forth with admins re some inconsistency in moderation and lack of clarity on Classified posts.
To remedy this, I have renamed the major section Classifieds to Buy and Sell, Deals Spotted and Help Required.
Under that section are:
Classifieds - Post your stuff for sale/trade.
Kijiji Hauls/It Followed Me Home - Bragging space for the awesome deal you found.
Member Spotted Deals - Posts for stuff that members see for sale in the wild.
Request a part, job, or quote from members - Post here if you need something made
I have also edited Janger's opening pinned post to make it more clear.
In short:
- Comments on Classified posts only is restricted to Q&A about the item listed. None of our usual back and forth. Other commentary will be deleted.
- The above does NOT apply to the other sub-fora under the Buy and Sell, Deals Spotted and Help Required heading such as Member Spotted Deals.
Lastly, this is a busy place. On any given day there are 200-400 posts. There are exactly two mods to watch over stuff and make sure nothing goes sideways.
We try our best to be on top of things but we cannot police every post. Nor can we guarantee that moderation will be 100% to the letter because again, there's only two of us and there 3500 of you.
