  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. I've never seen one in person. I have 'heard that' they are fine machines. I haven't heard negatives, so "good clone"?

You get a lot of machine for the money on the used market if nothing is broken or totally worn out.
 
Can any educated eyes tell if this has a power downfeed?

Seller also has a "Challenger" brand 16x60 Lathe for sale. I didnt ask the price on that one.
 
It has a power down feed . It's the knob to the right of the light for 3 feed rates . Pull the knob out to the left of the quill scale and you're good to go . :) This is not a big issue but one thing I see that I don't like . The power / reverse switches are located way down out of reach for power tapping . It could be easily moved up to the left side of the head . Is this local to Calgary ? If you need a second opinion I'm up in Calgary near the Marta Loop .

I'm not interested. No money and no room for that machine at this time. Posting here as bridgeport clones dont come available in the YYC area often.
