But since you are running a simple mill and not a lathe, I'd second the amazon cheapie VFD. My brother and I run one on our bridgeport with no issues.

I dunno. SLV mode is pretty darn amazing. I wouldn't want to lose that getting an amazon cheapie. I think accel/decel timing and SLV are important enough to drive a more expensive VFD if needed.

I agree, but in fairness I had to tell the OP that the amazon options will work fine for most people because I have used the cheapies just fine. Costs may be a consideration that is a deal breaker. I'd hate to see no VFD
