  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

“Works well but minor damage to the horizontal crank adjustment.”

Which is to say ‘I broke the handwheel’.

well...IF a guy knew what it weighed...and dimensions once palletized...it's easy enough to get a quote from say Day & Ross...
Some freight carriers go by a cubic measurement...it could weigh 200 or 2000, they go by the area of space the object takes up...
others will go by weight and pallet foot print...
I have three Meritor 26K rated center sections to ship back to Ontario next week...the freight is less than 400 bucks...they collectively weigh 1500 lbs though...and will be on a pallet that's slightly oversize...

Still...it'd be a gamble on this mill...someone would have to go check it out etc...then coordinate with the seller on pickup and payment...
then there's the "why n how did the handwheel break??" scenario...
Someone out east is gonna get a good deal methinks
