  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

I was going to post this photo yesterday to brag about how nice it is here on the island. A view of the riding stables across the street from me.

But that was yesterday. This is today 22 hours later.

Looks like the Keating area, we're pretty much the same out E Sooke way, but I bet your power is on. We're averaging one power outage a day so far this year. Frustrating as I have some surface grinder work to do but don't dare to as my chuck is electric.

@jcdammeyer Your place still looks great! You live in Shangri-La!!
Thank you. And we have a window on entertainment watching cars try and get up the hill on the backside of the house. It's really funny when one slides sideways into the 'going down lane' while the other trying now to pass it in the 'going up lane' also suddenly stops and then can't get moving again. Road now totally blocked. The sound of wheel spinning is muffled by the triple pane windows but still amusing to watch.

And we don't have to buy a ticket to watch...
