I didn't know that he died a couple of years ago. Anyone ever follow him?

I used to read some of his articles on his website. Some were quite interesting. Last time I visited his website it mentioned he had passed away. His work lives on in the way that his cut calculator is still available to download. It's mentioned that they don't have the source code so there will no longer be updated.

That's too bad. I followed him quite closely for years but not so much for the last 10 or so. If you didn't follow his early years he was extensively involved in the spreadsheet quatro. When Borland bought it he became a VP there. He tried a couple of start ups that went sideways until he stumbled on his speeds and feeds calculator. Not sure if it is still on the web but he did a very extensive reno on his house that was quite well documented. One of the first extensive home theaters I saw. I believe he was a strong proponent of ELS with quite a few posts on it until he switched his allegiance to full CNC.
