  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Buy this one, sell the one you just bought, with the money you pocket and the sale of your round column you can buy that big mill & be both money and equipment ahead. Et voila!
The one I bought though is in mint…. Almost new, can even buy parts for it….. will do very precise work.

This old one looks decent, and is tempting to do bigger work.

The old mill though, the big one…. 10hp@480 is a lot of electrical retrofitting and a lot of motor to run on the 30a single phase breaker I have feeding my whole garage…..

C'mon, Sparky! Put some of that expensive education to work! I'll come help ya pull/plow in a new service. I've run thousands of feet of cable through Mini-Sneaks before. Some 3 ought URD outta work...
