Bentonite - casting

Anyone want some bentonite for making up their own casting sand

Is that casting sand or you need to do some processing to make it one?

The bentonite is used as the clay binder for the sand. You need about 6 lbs clay to 100lbs sand. I think the sand he has listed is too coarse for casting. You can get finer sand from Target Products.

That’s where I got my sand from they call it “ golden sand “ it’s fine grain size and packs well.

Excellent info - Target Products. At some point I want to do little casting and I will need good sand. I can always get my dad to help me as he is supposedly mechanical engineer with casting as speciality.
