  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

Wow, now that is a good deal! I think I would buy that just for fun, tune it up and find someone that could use it!

If I’m not mistaken that is a 612, the baby brother to the 618. Turns 12” between centres by 6” swing. I’ve only been up close to one in the wild and they sure are cute. I’d love to have it were it not in Vancouver.

Yeah no kidding!

Up until about a month ago my closest sister was going over pretty regularly to settle my older sisters estate but that’s not needed much anymore. Otherwise it would be really tempting. I have one 618 as well as the Craftsman version of the same so would be exceptionally well tooled already for that little guy. What a person would do on it is another thing — even the 618 is pretty challenging sometimes for staying within the envelope.
