More interested on how that chuck is held on to the spindle? Draw bar? Threaded adapter onto the spindle?

Probably a threaded headstock chuck. I have a Jacobs that came with my SB like that

IIRC the very early 618 has a 1"-8tpi thread and later majority have a 1"- 10tpi thread.
