  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Thankfully I already have two........ But, I don't have one with a 20" stroke yet.... Lol. It's a big one, so it is going to need a big home to move to. Agreed, it's a pretty good price, as they are getting harder to find, but at 110 years old, I don't think anyone should expect it to be plug and play. This one is for the crazies like me (just not me this time) that love old machines and the problems that come with them. ;)
 
There was a time where I would have loved one. But then space was taken up by the CNC router and vacuum pump etc. so now no room for that level of project.
 
Cool machine - the shaper vise on it is worth at least $300.

The asking price is price of scrap iron.

This is a major project to finish this machine up and make it presentable. But certainly for anyone with some spare time on their hands this is a worthwhile project.

Imagine this think painted and taking big cut!
