$40 Million Expires this Month in Ontario

The ticket was set to expire at midnight and someone showed up with the ticket, or at least what looks like the winning ticket. lol

The Ontario holder of a $40-million winning lottery ticket, due to expire today, has finally come forward.
The winning Lotto Max ticket was due to expire at midnight Wednesday, Oct. 28, one year to the day after the winning draw took place in 2025. Winners must claim their prize within one year of the draw taking place.
The ticket had been sold at a lottery retailer in Grey County.

Now the big question …was the delay because of a divorce or is the ticket being cashed by someone else for the person getting divorced? This explains verifying its existence in the 11th hour.

So if Bills Lotto ticket wins and he splits it with Joe who cashes the ticket so Bills ex gets nothing and then gets found out seeing as the ex would have gotten half would Joe get to keep his half and Bills half goes to the ex?
Just thinking out loud.
After all they say Karma is a bitch.
