The " Thinkercad Sketch tool to a higher resolution" video
was very helpful. I learn how to prevent some of my design mistakes. It's a very long video, 51 minutes. Just after 8 minutes I had to pause the video and try to absorb all was said.
Now, I need to stop mouse clicking, click,click,click........ to produce all these unnecessary design layer which tends to confuse Thinkercad. That is going to be hard, because I don't know what is happening unless I Click the mouse. LOL
This photo just showed up on my facebook feed posted 9 years ago today. The first thing I printed was a fan shroud to hold two old PC CPU fans. Rumour had it that the biggest failure in these 3D printer boards were due to heat destroying the drivers. The blue tape on the metal build plate was there until I added a glass plate and an insulating pad underneath everything.
This poor puppy gave up the ghost last year when a filament jam caused the motor to lose position and drive the bed into the non-limit switch end. That ripped up the heater and thermouple wire. That connected the 12V heater voltage into the thermocouple input. After that it never read the bed temperature correctly.
Printer cost $250 with free fedex shipping from Hong Kong.
