  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

So tell me all you folks who weld better than me..... Basically everyone...

Is this too small or won't work for some other reason?

And what happens if I leave this outside?

Or should I just sell all my welding gear?

Depends what you want to weld.
Railings? Too small
Small weldments? Just fine

Leave it outside? I wouldn't because it would be a rusty mess in about 2 weeks.
 
Big stuff I don't need a table for. Just little stuff.

Ya, rust here is a fiasco. Worst location in North America. I had figured I'd just take a flap wheel to it as needed. That's what I have to do to weld machinery.

Trouble is, if I wait much longer for what I'd really like, it will never happen. It's a pretty small pretty thin plate table though...

Maybe I could put big rubber wheels on it...
 
Contacted him. Turns out tables are WAAAAY bigger than the ad. Now I'm REALLY interested. Can get what I wanted. But.... It will take my flatbed to get it and that ain't going to happen with all the snow right now. So I'll have to work something out with him.
