Jackpot! I love spending other peoples money, especially when I have none of my own right now :D.

In all fairness, it IS an awesome press, and a pretty fair price. I was very happy to see it posted so far away.

Actually I recently bought a 3 ton Vevor cuz I got tired of waiting for one on-line. Let's just say that it isn't one of their better products...... It arrived broken, needed repair, and isn't very smooth at all. I'd have done cart wheels to have had that one pop up around here back then. Yet another reason why he sucks.....

But ya, awesome get!

I almost bought a Vevor press last week.

I just needed a way to cut a keyway in a pulley,,,

Some suggestions.

1. Cut a hole in your bench under the Ram so you can use longer drifts.

2. Make an adjustable height soft landing pad to sit under the hole to gently catch falling parts.

3. Yours might not need it, but I added a dog to stop the Ram from dropping on its own due to gravity.

Well with the ratchet mechanism you can still likely make it work ok
Unfortunately it jams up.
I have seen a nifty gear repair where a fellow drilled and tapped a line of holes and then loctited in a line of cap screws and then filed the heads to match the gear profile.
I don't know if the ram is cast or bar stock. If it's bar stock I may be able to lay down a MIG bead and then profile that.
