  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

2025 Meetup?

We had a coffee meet organized by djberta in Airdrie back in Dcember. There were only about 6 of us in attendance. I enjoyed it a lot. If anyone is in for a coffee meet for an hour of shop talk name a place and I'll try to be there.
 
Don, I’ve got plans to put another one together in Feb. I’m down with a bad cold right now and not wanting to spread it. If you make one I will see if I can make it. Is there a place in Airdrie or north Calgary that might be better. We basically took over part of the a&w.
 
Other possible locations are food courts at malls. Cross Iron Mills, Sunridge, etc. I didn't mind A&W but if the group got bigger that might be an issue.

No, there is still only 1 rsvp thread, that thread also links to the official one, for those members who do not use the "whats new" feature and who were looking in the Alberta local forums, where much of the discussions regarding the meetup were held

the two members i tagged only posted in this thread...not the rsvp thread

That is why I am trying to consolidate everyone into the actual RSVP thread

I have been going through all of the meetup threads to try and make sure no one gets missed, because like you said people have been rsvp'ing in threads other than the RSVP thread

Speaking of which...I don't have you on any list
