Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Wow, that auction has lots of goodies for guys in the area. Dividing heads, measurement stuff, lots of welding stuff, a lathe, taper drills and more

I am familiar with that model. When I bought my Precision Matthews PM1054TV in 2021 I also looked at other machines including the X6323A from Modern Tool. The head is manufactured in Taiwan and the rest of the machine is from Mainland China. It came standard with the 3 axis DRO and X axis power feed, 9 X 49" table, and work light. Weight is 2250lbs and the quoted price at that time was $12900 CDN fob Edmonton. I would guess that the Y and Z axis power feeds were added after purchase.
At that time Modern also had in stock Model 3VM (10 X 50 table) which came with a 3 phase 3HP motor. It was built entirely in Taiwan. Was equipped with Align power feeds on both X and Y and a 3 axis Sino DRO. Weight was 2350 lbs and price quoted was $16800 CDN fob Edmonton.
