1hp 3ph Motor

I have an older 1hp motor I found that I was going to put on my lathe but it doesn’t fit, too large of a shaft and frame.

I found the motor pretty cheap but I put new bearings in it since the old ones were seized.

The motor meggers out perfectly and tests perfectly. When I had it disassembled it looked great.

100$ plus shipping extra. Located in Taber alberta.

Considering putting a 3 phase motor/VFD on my SB9, but would like to maintain the reverse capability. Will this motor w/ VFD allow that, or does it need to be a reversible motor in the first place?

As David R8 says, most VFDs have a reverse. As a bonus, they can do it on the fly!

All 3ph motors are reversible. You just swap any two leads typically using a drum switch. A VFD swaps the phases internally.
