  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Too bad it’s in tough shape.

Well it made production through entire WWII so yeah it has seen some heavy use.

Owner states restoration project....

Lathe is stripped down....

But one can make an offer - say $600 should be able to pick this up at 2x scrap price. And that is being nice - I would not be shocked to see it sell for $100 at auction. Seen Cincinnati #3 mill with 1000s worth of cutters go for under $100 (!!!!!)

I too have watched large machines go for next to nothing at auction. The worst was when I was starting out (before smart phones) something would sell cheap, I wouldn’t know what it was and later find out I missed out big time. This lathe would be a total labour of love and skill to bring it back.
