  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

What’s with the black legend going through the middle?
Not sure, it's just the way I screenshoted the picture from facebook.

It would appear that if I screenshot it, and I'm not scrolled all the way to expose the pic it'll add that bar. But if I right click and "copy" it, like below it doesn't.

Yupper! That's one big table even for me. I have a 10" in perfect condition. But I'd go for a great deal on a 12" in equally good condition.....

When you do a screen shot it copies EVERYTHING on your screen just as you see it. That's how it should be. When you download the photo you get the full photo in its original detail which could be MUCH bigger, or even much smaller, than what you see on your screen.

Not really. I didn't download it, I just took this "screenshot", and it took the entire image (even the bit offscreen), but superimposed the title bar where it was over top. The section above the bar was off screen. The "old" ctrl print screen worked that way. It only grabbed everything visible. The new windows built in feature is a bit different (and much better). Truthfully I didn't really know that until this happened, as I only recently crawled out from under my rock and learned that this "screenshot" was a feature......Learned from my Wife of all people.....the least techy person I know :D

They sure look like handy things, but pretty $$$. A guy could whip up something to sling vises and rotabs around for much cheaper....

If I ever finish my current projects occupying every flat surface in the shop....my next projects are a couple lifting devices for inside the shop, and outside around the yard. Long overdue....
