  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. I would, but right now i’m looking out the windows at a fly-in fishing lodge 300km north of Vancouver. The commute to Mission would be a little tricky. We have wifi but no roads.
 
Well, at least your excuse is a worthy one.... If I was closer I would grab it and hold it for you.... It looks like a nice machine that probably has a fair bit of tooling and materials that may go with it ....

I was thinking the same regarding the variable speed. It would be nice to be able to step up the speed on the fly especially while facing a bigger piece.
 
Good price for a good lathe if the VS is working right...this is at least a 1PH as converting a 3PH to 220v is a bear.
 
I saw this one when it was listed. Fantastic price for this lathe. He could have easily got more than twice that.
