  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. Grinder Metal Dust Collection

I have a Palmgren bench grinder with dust collection ports. Would I be safe using a shop vac on this if I put a cyclone collector in the middle? Just thinking of getting one of those Dust Deputy kits. Want to avoid burning down my house should any rogue sparks make their way into the vacuum...

The fine adjustment gear did not work but I managed to fiddle with it to get that working. I think it's off by about half a degree in accuracy using some gage blocks and the edge...

    Lathe Leveling Mounts

Hi all, My first post and until tonight had no idea there was even a Canadian metalworking group! Awesome! I built out my shop a few years ago and have a TopTech (rebranded Optimum) 10 x 22 lathe (250 x 550) and a Sieg SX3, but I got busy with work, as I'm self-employed, for the last few years...
