  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. Britannia Lathe $2000 Hamilton/Guelph Ontario

Super interesting lathe with a very cool story. If his description of scrape marks is correct then IMO his price is reasonable considering the extras it looks like it comes with, but a little too far and a little too small for me (not that I didn't wrestle with it for a couple days). If...

    Shaper à métal (Metal Shaper) - $800 - Laurier-Station, QC

Came across this ad today. Probably the slopiest slap-dash paint job I have ever seen on a machine. They painted the X axis slide and the tool! I don't think I'd call it a red flag at this point. Probably more of a red sail. https://www.kijiji.ca/v-view-details.html?adId=1713210332&rdr=true

Atlas 10F With Tool post Grinder - $1000 - Tillsonburg ON

Looks to me like an H48 model Atlas 10F (babbit bearings, 30" between centres). I'm guessing the bed length based on his description of the bench. $1000 for the lathe alone, or $1200 with the bench. https://www.facebook.com/share/1Ghdyv9HKY/

Myford ML7 Resurrection - A New Summer Project

I came across a Kijiji ad for a "Myford ML7 Lathe for Parts" on Monday about an hour after the seller posted it. Looking through the pictures all of the major parts seemed to be there and it came with a whole bunch of other random stuff (some was related to the Myford but plenty was not). The...

    Atlas 10F Motor Assembly Cleanup

I have previously posted about the Atlas 10" lathe that I bought off of an older gentleman back in January. Since then, I have gotten it cleaned up, setup, and have used it on several minor projects. Since, January in Canada isn't the most pleasant time to be outside in the garage, I decided...

A New to Me Atlas 10F

I've been looking for a lathe for several months now (one of the reasons I joined this forum was to keep an eye on the Classifieds and Spotted Deals sections). My general criteria were not too expensive, not too big, not too heavy, but capable enough that I am not going to be too limited in...
