    R8 Milling Spindle

I bought this R8 milling spindle at Busy Bee intending to make a milling head one day. Not going to happen. It’s new and still has the protective coating on it. The spindle body diameter is 70mm and length 121mm of the body. Let me know if you need any measurements. I will ship on your dime...

    Stick welder issues

A mouse made it’s home in my stick welder. I haven’t used it in a couple years. Removed the nest. I noticed the Amp dial getting more difficult to turn the last few times I have used it and now it’s locked tight. I am hoping just by removing the guide blocks on the outside it will free up.

New to me Bridgeport M head.

My apologies if anyone else was after this, but I was the first to reply. It is 3 phase 220v, I have to check the spindle MT2? It’s only 1/2hp, really cute with most of the features of the larger Bridgeport heads but still weighs 100 lbs.

    Tool Needing a press

I’m at the point of replacing the spindle bearings for the mill/drill in the rebuild process. I have always got by with medium sized arbor press but I need something larger. How big do I need 20t? I don’t need anything huge but I don’t want anything undersized either. Thanks!

    CXvise3 vise reviews or insight

I was looking at my vise collection and I really don’t have anything smaller for the mill/drill. The stick out on a six inch is a bit much. I know these have been out for a few years now and hoping someone could give me some feedback. It’s hard to find much in this size. Thanks!

    Worth picking up a mill/drill?

I have been offered, this little guy mill/drill, it’s a 1980’s unbranded machine. Is it worth dragging into my shop? Keep in mind I have a Bridgeport clone and Harrison horizontal mill already. So probably used for x/y drilling and small stuff. Going to need lot of work but everything seems free...

External Jaws for a 3 jaw

Last weekend I picked up a 10” 3 solid jaw Cushman that fits my Colchester with the L1. Of course no external jaws with it. There is a set on fleebay which would work out to $100 Canadian to my door. I know with a 10” they won’t get used much and I do have a big 4 jaw. Convince me one way or...

    Air motor repair

I am hoping someone more familiar with gasket material can help me. The seals are 0.001 in thickness for the caps use some sort of Mylar? I was hoping to make the new seals as the rebuild kits are $$$. I am setting up an inexpensive mixer for industrial finishes, yes it will br grounded. Thanks!

    Supplies Amazon Bandsaw Blades

Just checking to see if anyone has bought the “Imachinist” bandsaw blades off Amazon. I bought one of those little guy horizontal saws recently that takes the 64.5” blade. I know there are lots of other sources like R&D but for $21.00 for bimetal seems like a deal. I had a big saw that came...
