    6" Swedish Fish (Dividing Head)

Many moons ago, before I had a lathe, before I had my own shop... I had a shaper. A Swedish Shaper Shaped Object to be exact (SSSO). This lived a rugged life in the great outdoors under cover. It got a lot of use, but seeing as I had lost my old shop thanks to some greedy landlords and the new...

    Adjustable Angle Rotary Table

Hi there, I bought this a few months back, thinking it would work out for me. Alas it has not. Very heavy ~200-250 lbs. 11" table. Asking 700, trades are welcome.

    WD-45 Resto

Maybe this is off topic? But there is machining involved! If it's in the wrong spot, my apologies. I'm currently restoring the front half of my old WD45. I've been trucking along just fine, but I could use some assistance with the flywheel. The engine was originally pulled to do a rear main...

    Flamal 29

Has anyone ever used Flamal 29, or Linde(formerly known as Praxair) equivalent Starflame? Their literature says that they are better in everyway to acetylene, but of course I am a little bit skeptical... After I got my last invoice from Linde, I am forced to move to purchased bottles from a...

Brown and Sharpe No2 "Light Type"

So this, must as my last "project post", will be a living archive. I in the past tried this with practical, but was , shall we say, less than successful in engaging the audience. I posted in the "it followed me home" about this mill, but for those who don't know, its a Brown and Sharpe No2...

    Another Brown and Sharpe

So because I have issues around self control, I have another Brown and Sharpe #2 Light Type horizontal mill. This one however is a plain, not a universal. I've noticed that this must have been the "budget" end of the spectrum ( not that anything that came from B&S was ever cheap!) as it doesn't...

    Prentice Brothers Lathe

So I came across this old lathe, its a Prentice Brothers lathe. Seems to be 20-30's era. Good gear box has been added. has 4 chucks, and a really neat taper attachment. 13"swing, 60" bed. Nothing seems to worn, and when I fired it up, it was all working as it should be. Quick change...
