    Tool How to drive taps

That’s exactly what we work on, in fact currently we’re rebuilding all if the load roller bores in the track frames on a shovel just like that. Pictures are usually a no-no with our clients, so not something I can share often.

    Tool Well made come-along

We use lots of them in various sizes, but I always smile when I get the chance to use the little .5 ton units. Little lightweights that always look like toys but work very well!!

Tool Gauge Blocks - Am I the only one with missing/extras

I’ll try to check when I get bavk in a couple weeks or so. If you’re okay with ‘very close’ I know there were some .100x (tenths) blocks, just not sure sizes. I think I also saw a .100 or two, but since I was hunting for .147/.149, I kind of ignored what else was there.

    Face mill for Bridgeport

Perfect! Trade for some 8” round stock? Mystery metal, likely a 4140 or similar.

    Face mill for Bridgeport

I’m looking for a smallish face mill for my bridgeport, R8 shank(or to bolt to an arbor). Would prefer something with a common insert style, and wondering what you folks have had success with. I don’t need stupid high removal rates, just something that will take steel etc down to size...

    Tool How to drive taps

This is large mining equipment, and the M36 tapped holes were threads that were stripped, welded up, and I then recut. These particular bolts hold the swing motors and transmissions that swing the entire upper assembly on top of the undercarriage. Access is limited, I had just enough room to...

Tool Gauge Blocks - Am I the only one with missing/extras

I do have a .149, no luck on a .147. Headed back to Fort Mac today, if you want it I can mail it when I get back.
