The original colour is so much nicer than that ugly dull olive green. Also notice the shaft scoring where the adapter was originally stuck to the shaft - right side of shaft in photo. I'll have to polish that out lest it seize again in the future.

Shop A very cool engine hoist

This popped up on my email this morning. I'm not suggesting anyone run out and buy one, but the concept is very cool! All hydraulic - even the turret motor. I especially like the collapsing side supports. Very cool! Too bad I'd need to be able to weld to make my own.

Wanted Atlas shaper Rotary Table S7-420

I hope you don't mind a suggestion on your classified ad. If you do, I'll delete it. I have not had any luck looking for the rotary table and indexer for my AAMCO 7" shaper. For the number of times they might be used, I'm thinking about getting a 4" aluminium table off of Ali Express and...

Youtube- The curious origins of (the words for) imperial and metric units

If you enjoyed those tidbits, you would also enjoy "Beyond Measure" by James Vincent. Another member suggested it to me and I have thoroughly enjoyed it.

Shop Garage Hoist - How it's going to kill me?

You misunderstood I think. At my age, sex kills. Happens a lot. I always said I want to die in the saddle. It's a good way to go. If my girl wants to use an uncertified piece of artistic hardware to help her get into some kinky position, I'm game!

    Circuit breaker tracer

I have a Klein. It works but isn't perfect. Sometimes I have to resort to lights and lamps. I have created a circuit map for every home and outbuilding I ever owned. I tape a copy to the back of the breaker box door.
