Tool The sphincter of the machining world

I wouldn't worry about .001 at all on the mill. Especially with HSS tooling. Even if you were finishing a roughed out pocket on the mill, you would want to be using gauge blocks to achieve your final size. The true test would be how much taper you would see on the walls with the cheaper collets...

Do Starrett Tools rust more than other tools?

I have several Starrett tools as well. Dating back some years now. The only surface rust I have noticed taking hold is on the adjustment screws, top of the pins in the depth mic set.

    South Ontario Snow

Hmmm, I'm all in with natural, but, I think I'm going to stick with the home grown herb- double wrapped in blue berry paper. Tried the Cotton Candy, but found I was gaining too much weight. When I don't take it, my wife notices the difference!

For sure, prior to 3D modelling tapered endmills were used on the locking walls of molds. A good friend of mine ran an old droop & rein duplicator at Tyco's tool & Die, producing Fasia molds. Ohhh, doesn't that just take ya back in time... Today, they have Mecofs, Parpas, hurco machines. I...

I can't count on my fingers anymore because I lost part of 1. But, to think, how many mouth full's of snow we took in back then... Gas powered 2 1/2" dual catalytic free V8 engine snow tasting goodness. Yes, we took our GT racers in the ditches early on in life. Pfffft, nobody thought of making...

My new Ford 70MPH snowbrush option is going to emit tons of emissions over the next day or so. That's going to suck... Although, I figure by the end of spring 2030, I will balance my emission waste out by making a green works high speed steel rake this spring.

Where to buy Parting Blade in Victoria?

I didn't know tier 3 Amazon would cut them in half for a half price sale, guess that would mean we would only be getting 4% cobalt.:)
