    very stiff tailstock quill

thanks - the quill was dull in the middle, possibly where it had been repeatedly, over squeezed by the lock - every fastener used to lock/unlock anything on this lathe has rounded corners, deformed washers, grooved castings, etc. - I suspect the PO gave his inner guerilla free rein to make sure...

    very stiff tailstock quill

a smooth sliding quill makes me very happy - thanks all for your help and good advice to put the wedge away To the best of my measuring skills, there was no bend in the quill, and no taper from one end to the other, but the centre was about a thou smaller in diameter than the ends. Intro to welding course?

I took a continuing education MIG class from our local college about a dozen years ago. The guys that could weld before the class, welded better afterwards. The guys, like me, that were new, could weld safely but poorly afterwards. The instructor was able to describe and demonstrate good...

    E transfer payment reversed?

working as designed and advertised, and as stated above, crappy reporting Some people fail to understand the difference between automatic and immediate. She's not the only one to have been ripped off this way - is sad that there are so many dishonest people out there
