  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. Repairing Bosch SHV46C03UC/14 Dishwasher

This won't be nearly as complicated as John's recent adventures with his Bosch fridge, but I do need some advice; later... Our Bosch dishwasher has been awesome good for 11 years; quietly and effectively cleaning and looking good with it's custom cabinet door panels. It was quietly working...

Shop Things to have in your dream shop!

Would it be better to have the compressor and dust collector in a semi-attached, or separate building nearby for better noise isolation? Add a remote start and drain for the compressor. Could also be a home for your stand-by gen-set. One of my early summer jobs was helping a...

    ABS Pipe Annular Cutter

I just finished pulling the remaining cast iron pipe from our home, replacing in with ABS. All of the cast iron pipe was in remarkably good condition; the only exceptions being the butt ends where it had been cut to splice in newer connections with Fernco style couplings. The cast iron piping...

    ABS Pipe Annular Cutter

Cellular core ABS has been around for quite a while; I think earlier than @Susquatch 's home was built. Another "benefit" is that it is significantly lighter than the older ABS pipe; saving more pennies on shipping and distribution.

    before the chips fly

Thanks everyone for your advice. I've read enough to sweat the small stuff and am so inexperienced that I sometimes miss the (obvious to you) big stuff. Life is full of compromises, so here's the issues I'll address in round 1: I have a left over pieces of 1" plywood large enough for 2...
