  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area.     Yes as I have 5 R8-ER32 holders, allows me to set 5 different tools, plus a couple of other tool holders approx 10 in total, remember CNC and I'm the HTC (Human Tool Changer ;)).

    I bought 5 ER32 nuts love them easier to torque to hold bits tight. Definitely worth the investment. Smaller than ER32 I don't think they are require, higher definitely.

    I will qualify that I have one lathe, 12" is the rating but so is 17" in the gap. I have turn about 7" x 7" of 4041 on my Logan and must say that a chuck of steel that big does get interesting as there is a lot of rotating mass.

    Park the Tesla close to the Propane tanks, hook up a cheap charger to it and the Tesla will heat the tank for you. Solve two problems, you get heat and you get rid of the Tesla. ;)

    Most likely your valve (outlet from tank) froze or near froze closed, most commonly after a slight over fill as propane expands it cools and freezes blocking flow (laws of expansion). Looks slightly iced over. Its happened to me even in warmer conditions (relatively speaking). Check this area...
