  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. Machine 1x42 Linisher upgrade

The grinder graveyard ! Actually one of those is going to be the driver for a 2x48 sander that is still a twinkle in my eye. There are some good plans available for those but I'll probably roll my own and include a larger table.

FWIW, a recent quote from a well known Asian PCB fab house was just shy of $500 for 20 boards including a generic ESP32 module ($4.50) The parts count was higher and there were a couple of expensive parts, but that was close to $30/board including testing, delivery and import taxes.

    12 x 36 lathe vibration

If the machine is running smoothly without the belt, that implies that the belt or the pulleys are faulty. Vee belts can develop flat spots where the belt is stiffer is some places so it doesn't wrap around the pulley exactly. I have seen this when the machine is running slowly- the belt can...
